The recent Budget introduced the Home Renovation Incentive Scheme which gives a Tax Refund to homeowners for repairs and renovation work carried out on their main residence. The Tax Refund is available on expenditure of over Euro 5,675 up to Euro 34,050. The Tax Refund is available for work carried out up to December 2015. Ensure only tax compliant Building Contractors carry out the work. Also, the homeowners LPT and Household Charge must be up to date to claim this Tax Refund.
